Backlinks question...

Probably a newbie question to some, but im steadily learning about seo. Would 6 or 7 backlinks on PR5 sites be better than say 25 links on PR1 sites?

This is only an example with numbers,obviously i will be building more than that. Just i see people saying high PR links are worth much more than low PR sites...

Any links pr3+ have great value and yes a few pr5 links are worth many pr 1 links. But also there is the IP diversity issues so more pr1 links have good value as links are coming from a wider variety of IPs. given the option just take both

Make sure they are niche related or it wont matter much these days.

PageRank could be tricky, how much value can this number of links from a lower PR site differ from the number of links to a higher PR sites??

This all comes to how much power and credibility this authority sites can give you. This means if you get one link from a high PageRank source, it can carry much more weight than dozens or hundreds of links from low PageRank Sources based on what I have read on one book.
