Backlinks not showing for days!!!

Does anyone know what Google is doing? Sites are moving around like a yoyo on page one of search results. Yesterday i was #8 on page one, today im #1 on page 1. And its been like this for days.

Also, according to Yahoo i only have 20 backlinks. SEO Elite 4 doesnt even retrieve a single backlink like it usually does and scrape box show the same # of backlinks yet i know i have over 300.

So WTF is going on?

As for Google:- I've not seen any changes on any of the sites I frequent, my own, or even competition.

Yahoo's backlinks however, have been ****ing up for the past few days. One of my websites, which has over 200,000 backlinks, is coming up with about 8,000 at the moment. Competitor's websites which have 300,000+ are coming up with maybe 15,000-20,000 max.

Yep, this is what im talking about. Iv checked my competitors links too. They each had 300+ last week now they only show 30.

Dont get what is going on.
 
I have the same dilemma, Ive lost around 30% in the last few days, hopefully they will come back
 
you know, the past few weeks, i have been seeing this topic brought up more and more, it seems that everyone is loosing alot of backlinks. even me. so i wish i knew what was going on. maybe there is an upgrade in progress with yahoo and google. but, still unsure.
 
I have noticed the same thing especially the last few days, Im loosing backlinks 1k at a time, however I havent noticed any drops in the serps just yet.

Same here but ranking still there .Actually i read some forum that yahoo updation is in progress and sometimes it will occur and show less BL because main BL services use yahoo services to extract BL

don't remember exact URL of that discussion and

moreover it will resolved soon

As discussed in several other threads already, most ppl are facing the same issues with YSE, for google serps there are no changes for my sites so far.
 
yahoo site explorer will sober up in a few days.it happens every now and then.so nothing to worry.
 
I can only image yahoo works off multiple datacenters, we're probably just seeing different updates??

I hope that's the case anyways... this Y! dance is kinda silly.
