Backlinks not appearing when using link: on google

I'm a noob.

Got a site that's 4 months old.. running on wordpress. I've added a sitemap and submitted it .. and i thought i have a couple of backlinks from another site but when I do a "link:mysite.com" on Google, there's no result...

I'm puzzled.. any advise why this is so?
