Hey,

Is it okay to get a backlink from quite well website, but in older article? I had a discussion and I received an offer that they will put my backlink, but as i said in older post.

Does it make much difference between building links in old or new articles?

Thanks in advance!

Should be fine. Have done the same in the past. Make sure that the page your link is edited into gets recrawled by Google so that they're aware of the new link.

Yeah, it would be better method too.
If you have a backlink in the old article it helps you to get good visitors to your site if the content is of good quality and it is shareable in social networks.
As above member said to check if the crawler would crawl it once again like want to submit the sitemap once again if you make any updates to the article.
And have to check the article is no follow or not and if they used canonical tags in the article have to edit that.

Backlink is a link one website gets from another website. Backlinks make a huge impact on a website's prominence in search engine results.
