More the relevant backlinks to your site more is chances that your site will rank higher

IMO don't use GSA , try to bulit backlinks from Guest blogs and authority sites.

As a student you should refer to available material on your topics of interest before resorting to asking direct questions. No one can explain what a backlink is on this forum, but yes, if you need latest working ideas on getting backlinks, plenty of help is available.
