The link are no follow, but can send you trafic, and also authority, becouse if the video has many views, if give you power

Ontopic: YT traffic is usually high quality, which means low bounce rate which is good for SEO. So there might be a hidden value there.

Unfortunately you cannot anticipate much benefits as it is quite clear that, Youtube links are no-follow means the google and other search engines wont count them as backlinks. However, you still can gain some quality traffic but for this you need to go with really useful or entertaining videos. Consider integrating some captions and call for actions but do not overdo it

If you have more traffic from platforms like youtube or vimeo, in eye of google, you are better. There are only benefits that you can get, if you put link in Youtube description. So.. Just do it.
