Backlinks from same domain to multiple sites on same server

This is a question I haven't come across yet and would love the community's input.

If 5 sites are hosted on the same server, can it hurt your sites if for example the backlink source "domainABC.com" is linking to site1, site2, site3, site4, site5 assuming all these individual sites are on the same server (same IP, DNS)?

Would this red flag google that the same source is linking to 5 different sites on same IP and be deemed unnatural, hence triggering a penalty or complete de index?

If so, would the solution be to acquire backlinks for each individual site from different sources?

That's a pretty massive footprint.

Either host those money sites separately, or do not link out to all of them. Easy prevention.

All website under the same webmaster linking each other is a common action. I don't see any draw back from this action
