Backlinks from foreign language sites

I had a dozen backlinks from foreign language sites which has ahrefs DR > 70.
These sites are not related to my niche.
I noticed my keyword position has been dropped from page 6 down to page 15.
Is this a problem?
Should I disavow these backlinks?

I would disavow if surrounding content is not related to my page and not focusing on targeting country & language .

Better disavow non related backlinks. For one, they are not related anyway to your niche and that combined with it being from different language will most likely be considered spammy

Hmm, I've had sites with tons of "spammy" backlinks and I always leave them up without problems

Better to exclude them. If it isn't related to your niche, it won't really help anyway.

I have made a decision to disavow all of them.

Generally Penguin is pretty good at discounting spam, but I've seen many cases where spam does completely wreck your site. Before you disavow see if you can remove the links manually. Disavow should always be a last straw.
