Backlinks from blogs very newbie question

I am at my very first experience and i guess this will sound very stupid to you.
I'd like to manually post some backilnks to my site by blog commenting and here's the question:
to have a backlink is sufficent to write mysite link or it has to be a clikable link? If it is so how can i make it clickable? is html or?

To make it count as a backlink it needs to be clickable.

Some blog comments allow the Name section to become the anchor text for your Website section. So you can fill in your website URL in that section and it will become a clickable link.

Otherwise in the comment section itself, yes most of the time it needs to be in html format for the link to become clickable and count as a backlink towards your site.

I see backlinks from blogs as ineffective. These links are very poor because the number of outgoing links on do-follow Blogs are extremely high. And rather you get 100 good and quality backlinks than 10000 backlinks from blogcomments. Quality not quantity!

So what kind of backlinks should i look for? I'm very new to all of this so help is very welcome

There are lots of ebooks/videos available in the downloads section that are good for newbies. I suggest you start there and read a couple of books and your questions will be answered.
