Backlinks for New Websites

For a new website, I usually recommend focusing on quality and relevance rather than a large number of backlinks.

Let it sit for 2 to 3 weeks without any links and start building 10 to 20 good high quality links in the next 1 month. After that you can build as many as you want depending on your strategy if its short term or long term project.

There isn't really a fixed number, for a new site, focus on getting a few relevant, quality backlinks naturally rather than trying to hit a specific number.

If i'm not wrong, there is no any fix number of backlink recommended for new side, it mainly depends upon the Niche, Competition, and Quality relivence of the links. I think its better to focus on building high quality, relevant backlinks naturally rather than targeting a specific number. but correct me if i'm wrong.

For a new website, I’d focus on a small number of high-quality, relevant backlinks first.
There’s no fixed number, so build them gradually as your content and traffic grow.

First come quality content and relevant and upload constantly. Then after few weeks build like 10-15 backlinks of good quality prefferably guess posts relevant then you can use more in time after few more weeks/months

There is no magic number really as Google cares way more about relevance and traffic than raw link count. In the first month I would just focus on putting out good content and setting up your basic brand profiles to get things indexed properly. Once you have pages live, check what top competitors in your niche are gaining monthly to set a realistic baseline. It is way better to grab a few solid contextual links on active sites gradually than stress over hitting an exact quota

I look at what the site actually needs before deciding a number. If competitors have been building links for years, trying to match their monthly volume from day one makes no sense. Start small and scale based on how the site and rankings respond.

You should also make it clear how long your new website has been live. It’s best to start building backlinks only after the website has been up for at least three months and has at least 30 published articles, preferably more.

how many backlinks do you recommend for a new website ?
For a new website, I wouldn't set a fixed backlink number. I'd start slowly with 5–15 genuinely relevant referring domains, monitor rankings and indexing, then scale based on competition.
Quality, relevance, and natural growth matter

I would usually look at the competition before deciding on a number. Start with a few relevant links, track how the site responds, and increase gradually if the niche needs more authority.

For a new website, you should build backlinks gradually and in moderation. In the beginning, focus on acquiring just one or two high-quality backlinks and monitor the results. Once you start seeing positive results, you can gradually increase the number of backlinks over time.
