Backlinks - changing anchor question

Bought niche edits and some anchors have been shoehorned in a little and some wrong pages linked from entirely.

If I have the anchors to these changed will it cause issues for my site?

I know that Google will look for changing during the Google dance after links have changed.

Should I be worried here?

Simply changing the anchor text on a larger scale could be an issue.

Safer way would be to remove the hyperlink while keeping the text and adding a new sentence/paragraph with a new one.
