Backlinks and getting them indexed!

I've read a lot of posts about it, and I've tried the methods all the people here said, I have the txt file with all the backlinks and what I did was creating a RSS and put all those backlinks there and ping the site.
Also I've had a blog for long time now and I posted all the links there and pinged that blog also.
But the main question and what I wanted to ask is How long does is take to this backlinks to start appearing?
And if you have any other methods!

Where are you looking for them to show up?

Depending on your methods... A few hours to a couple of weeks.

You can try:

Submitting RSS Feeds
Pinging using tools like MegaPinger
Using ScrapeBox's Rapid Indexer (There's also a free BHW Tool called Pinger)
Submitting URLs to stuff like PingDevice
Creating an HTML file of links and using Social Media / Bookmarking to point to it

Just bookmark the URLs in about 10 different web 2.0 websites, ping the URLs and the web 2.0 profiles, and wait 1-2 weeks. They'll all begin appearing. Some within the first 24-48hrs.

When you say bookmarking the urls to 2.0 websites you mean like putting all the urls in a post and posting it on digg for example?
