I have an old domain with about 100 subdomains on it. Most all of the subdomains have page rank. If i backlinked from all my subdomains to my main domain with specific anchors, would this boost rankings for the main domain?

I'm not sure if that would help with page rank, as they would all be on the same IP, most likely. You could give it a shot though. Big G changes things more often than most people change underwear, so you never know. However, I do know that having a bunch of subdomains, with descent traffic, will boost your Alexa ranking on your main domain.

i don't know if it is good or now, but I guess this is what big sites like blogspot.com do. and they do rank pretty well...
