Hello dear blackhatters,

I have a question about backlinking, if you dont mind answers:
I am still not sure about backlinking. should i create backlinks to my home page which doesnt have anything on it except welcome bla bla? or for for each keyword that i am targeting i should create backlinks using web2.0s or others? that is, if i am targeting 10 high traffic keyword (5-10k monthly visitors) and maybe 40 website filler articles, i should create a backlinks to each high traffic keyword?

I have asked questions here before, but unfortunately no one replied, i hope someone would be kind enough and take time to answer it!

best of regards, noob.

Sounds like a fun page.
Domain root should also target keywords (usually the biggest ones).
Backlinks increase your SERP -> Build links for every page you need rankings for.

Your home page should have your keywords somewhere on there, it will helping with ranking for those keywords. Try not to leave your homepage blank, fill it with something then start building some backlinks to it.

It's not necessary to create all back links to your homepage which got no useful stuff unless bla bla bla. May be you can link any other pages in your website where you got useful stuff or if you're selling any service or promoting your aff link, you can create back link to pages of that kind. But try to add some stuff in your homepage and create back links consistently. Web 2.0 is a good thought but that don't help you to fight with high competition keywords. So getting links from guest blogs will you in that case.

You want to link to many pages.

1 page should target 1 keyword.

If your homepage is to target "web design in austin" then the achor text to the links on these page should be web design in austin.

If you have a page for "dog rapists" then the links to that page should have the achor similar to that keyword.

thanks guys, you are my new best friends!
on another note, should i go for PBN, or guest posts? if going for PBN, each post in a blog should have a link to one keyword page(the ones im trying to rank for) on my main site or i can sneak more links to other pages too?

also i have applied for google adsense but i go rejected the next day, should i lay low and not build any backlinks yet, or doesnt matter on their next review when i apply for google adsense?

thanks again, noob.

Good to be friends :)
By the way, when you decided to go with PBN or guest blogs, you need to be aware about the sites which links your website. If it got shitty backlink profile, then it will harm your main site. But both are good to go when the backlink profile or it's history is clean. Do it in a consistent manner and don't do too much of link building to your main site. Few blog post and guest post links every month and try to build links to the blog post and guest post urls which you got. That will help you in a strong and steady growth of your website.
And am Not much aware of google adsense, learning things quickly. :)

It's just unnatural if all your links point only to the home page... people usually share information they found interesting on a particular page, rather than home page.
Usually, you target main keywords with your home page and long tail keywords with your inner pages... but it all really depends on your niche and site design.
