Hi guys,
So I did a little searching around the forums, but I still have a question.
I'm researching my competitors right now and noticed that all of them have backlinks to their main page, but almost none of them have BLs to their inner pages. So let's say my niche is "baseball." I'll do a search for a long-tail version of that (let's say "best baseball bats") and SEMRush will show no backlinks to that page for my competitor, but a few thousand backlinks to the main front page.
So my question is, how difficult will it be for me to outrank these sites for "best baseball bats" assuming I do backlink work to a page on my site specifically for the "best baseball bats"?
From what I read so far, I think that it will be rather easy because I will be making a page that is optimized for that keyword and making backlinks for the page that focuses on that KW. Can someone confirm if I am right?
