My friend said its worthless backlinks without any traffic. Is this true or not. I seen in SERP there are many web site that rank in first page without any backlinks profile. Please explain this defferen cases. I do not understand.

Yeah...backlink is the important factor to rank your website and get relevant traffic towards your website. Without backlinks it's not easy to get real traffic towards your website
