Any type of links can make you rank as long as they meet decent quality and come from authoritative websites/pages,

Yeah , of course backlinks are support well for any kind of academy sites to upgrade it's traffic and ranking in organic way.
But you need to inverse on quality links to get the proper results.

assuming you have what is called quality and i have been looking for some high quality backlinks
trying over a 3 months and all the samples are trash, either PBNS or some links what the crawl ratio is pathetic
