So my new site :

DA: 7
PA : 10

got a backlink (do-follow) from a site stats below:
DA : 97
PA: 53

Will my domain now go to shit if I get backlinks from lower levels?

yeah.. i was wondering about it too the other day... happy to get a professional reply.

You can get backlinks from lower DA sites but make sure they are relevant to your niche and also coming from a clean domain.

If they are a PBN link or low crap ones, it's not good for your site if you are looking for long-term.

exactly my thoughts... thanks :)

PBN or not, you don't want low-quality links. But getting niche-relevant links from web pages that are of lower relative quality (which would be most pages, considering it's a DA 97 / PA 53 page) still would be very beneficial -- e.g. getting a DA 50 / PA 25 backlink would still be a great link.

Basically, it doesn't matter what existing links you have, a great backlink is still a great backlink.

I know this is controversial, but I'm of the opinion that link purchases that can be discovered is just poor SEO, and reporting them to Google (in hopes they will be penalized) is a service to the SEO industry. A backlink analysis is one of the key aspects of any site's SEO profile.

Suppose you get back link from a new website having no DA PA of 1 DA PA or low DA PA. It doesn't mean that your website get hurt, but yes if discover links from poor spammy websites then your website hit back.

Always think about the relevancy as the top priority while back links creation; suppose you have a fashion related website, then all the back links comes from the fashion related Niche.

Can anyone provide me a list of websites where I can get backlinks for local businesses?

Well, I read it somewhere that relevancy is more important than DA.
Don't focus on DA PA but don't go for the spam of course.
Make some backlinks for diversity then go for power link from relevant website.

Hope It will help.

people need to stop thinking that higher Da and PA are good for link building.

Can't see why that'd harm you. DR isn't an average metric, it's an accumulation. The more the merrier, as long as it's healthy links you're receiving

You can build links from any metrics but check with the relevancy because it matters a lot in building backlinks.

As long as the site you received your 90+ DA/50+ PA link is relevant and not spam, the link itself should be fine. Receiving links from relevant sites is more important than going after DA & PA. Google is smart. A 90+ link from an irrelevant website will do almost nothing for you in the long run.

Going after 50/50 or even 30/30 back links, as an example, won't hurt your website. Each link you receive doesn't need to be a higher DA/PA than the last, nor CF/TF for that matter. Make sure you focus on getting links from relevant websites. Seeing as your DA/PA is 7/10, anything above 20/20 (maybe even less) is beneficial at this stage, as long as its relevant.

Of course not.

It's not reasonable to get only backlinks from high-quality websites. From time to time, a medium quality site will link to you. That's completely normal, as you need to focus on getting relevant links from quality websites.

Just try not to get links from crapy and spammy websites. That's not good. Still, after some time, you can do a link audit, then you can ask those low quailty websites to remove your link if needed.

Getting backlinks from lower level domains is not an offense. Atlet it should contain entry level quality which is worth in the future.
