When your 'acquiring' backlinks, how do you decide whether it is a good deal or not?

All I know so far is that high pr sites with low outgoing links are the best.

But, how many outgoing links is too much?

What are the factors you consider, and what things should you be wary of?

I have scrapebox/market samurai. Are there any other good tools I should purchase to help me?

If you have much vacant time, the best way to make quality backlinks is do it manually. Just try to buy some packets from Angela Edwards and make some backlinks. Try to read this link http://www.article-writer-pro.com/blog/index.php/08/how-to-get-powerful-backlinks-from-profile-pages/. I know it will help you to make quality backlinks.

A backlink is a backlink but then if you have the choice your right go for the higher PR backlinks and then also make sure those pages that you place the backlinks arn't highly spammed and so have the least outgoing backlinks as possible!

The backlink packet's for profile pages are generally a fairly good choice but i would outsource the creation process :)

Thats a question i was asking myself. I was searching for blogs to post on with medium PR pages, fairly easy to find them, but many of the pages are already spammed like crazy.
So, for example if I find a PR3 page do-follow auto approve blog, but it already has over 100 spammed comments, is it worth it?
Sure I am already there, so it'll take a few seconds to post a comment but can that have any negative impact?

Secondary question, if your site is in english, what would be the consequence of building non-english backlinks?

Thats the best way...manual. Assuming your site is SEO friendly, build them slowly over a period of time. I just finished set up on clients WP blog, set up half a dozen profile back links, purchased some key word rich articles, set up accts and posted 1 article on 3 of top 5 and hit google front page in a couple hours. I did take the time to fill out stuff on my profile. Posted some more content on my clients blog and have 2nd spot for 7 keywords. Article from Ezine is also on front page and I got upgraded for free from them. Dont post links in the body in your 1st couple articles. SeNuke comes down the road for total domination. Use google tools etc to find your proper keywords, phrases etc. Way too much to list but hope it helps. Cheers.

a quality backlink is worth million times than thousands garbage backlinks. IMO

It is good to have as many backlinks as you can make but a backlink from a page with high PR can boost your site up in SERPs.

Google uses an intricate system to score links up or down with regard to their power to influence its results. When blog commenting, you are looking for these qualities in a link-drop target:

1. Relevancy - Look for your keywords in the title, content and incoming anchors of the target site.

2. Page Rank of the target page (as opposed to the domain) - It isn't the metric it used to be, but it still shows node importance. Many people will try to tell you to disregard PR entirely but this is not wise. It's ancient but it's still the rusty old backbone on which much of Google's system is built. It's no good for telling how well a site will rank, but it is a good indicator of juicy targets from which you can sap link power.

3. The fewer outbound links there are on the target page, the more powerful your link will be.

4. The "cleaner" the page is, i.e. free from words like viagra, cialis, sohbet etc, the more likely it is that your link will get through Google's spam link evaluation filter.

5. Absence of the nofollow tag on your link - nofollow signals to Google that the link is user-generated content and cannot be vouched for. As a result, Google does not take the link into account in its ranking calculations and you've wasted your time.

There are a lot of other, smaller qualities you may look for but these are the main ones. They are desirable, but not essential. The more factors in the list above, the more powerful your link becomes.

Remember, Google is not usually in the habit of penalizing sites regarding where they get their links from. After all, who can control who links to them? The worst that is likely to happen is that your link will be disregarded.

Thanks for your responses so far.

When building backlinks do you use the same anchor text for a specific keyword on all posts or do you grab a list of your competitors keywords and say for every 1000 blog comments rotate between 100 different keywords?

Backlinks... Big PR... this is a Mithy.

Nobody proves it.

One thing that big companies do not do is to get backlinks from PORN websites.
In fact.. I think Google get any penalization.. but I haven't read this in any place, yet.
