Backlink kuffufle

Hi
very recently i've blasted, with scrapebox, about 1000 blog engine links to my site, and (this is going to sounds bad positioning, but it's competitive) it's dropped from page 8, to page 11!

I just wondering if anyone knew any reasoning behind this, as the site has never gone down this much before . . .

I believe they call it google dance-if you don't keep on building links they would think you are spamming,therfore you should keep on building your backlinks as this may look natural.
