Who said? Backlinks are evolving year by year based on the update. If you look back at BHW in 2013, most of the backlink packages were based on PR, but that is no more now. After that, DA, then DR, Traffic, and RD, and so on.

mostly the links used back few years back are now almost dead , they does not index anymore if they shows on GSC then the tag is nofollow .
