put them in quotes into google. If they come up they're indexed, otherwise they aren't.... Or, if you need to check 1000s of links use a tool like Scrapebox to check them automatically (but you'll need quality proxies, which is extra monthly investment, just so you know)
the effects of backlinks kick in within days usually (sometimes may take a week or two, but usually it's days, sometimes even hours. It depends on how good the link is). But it's important to index it first, otherwise the benefits will be minimal at best

That is not standard, indexing time can very to great extent other that being limited to within 10 days.

Recently there are lots of seo expert are facing indexing the backlinks. you can try to publish these backlink through blogspot. Hopefully it will be working well. I got the results.

You can check if your backlinks are indexed using GSC or tools like Ahrefs and they usually take a few days to a few weeks to show up.

You can use tools for checking and be patient new backlinks usually takes a few weeks to be indexed.

Yeah, it's good to do the backlinks continuously for strengthen your site profile stronger. But make sure with quality backlinks which is worth to spend.

there are tools such as linkindexer where u submit ur backlinks and with a higher possibility u will get them crawled faster. You often get a report from the seller which backlinks he set.
