Hi,

Fellow Blackhatters and backlink Gurus, I have a doubt. Kindly help me.

I Just launched new website. I need to place some backlinks. I searched here and got some high page rank blogs and website urls. when i commented in the high page rank blog, my comment was posted but it has page has no page rank.

Now i feel bad and i think i have wasted my time in placing backlinks in 0 page rank pages.

My doubt is whether google will crawl those pages too and will my link get some weightage as i have posted in High page rank blogs
.

Kindly clear my doubt so that i can continue my work.

Page Rank is BullShit.

W don't worry about PageRank any more. Just make sure that majority of the links you place are do follow. Even "no follow" links will help.

PS:Why did you post in big red fonts. It won't help you to get more responses.

Neo is right, dont worry about the PR at all. Every backlink you get is good, some are obviously better than others but hey.

It depends on your capabilities. Relevance, ********/nofollow and PR are all factors which can score a link up or down

Now, it's become fashionable on this forum lately for people to make sweeping claims about PR, i.e. "PR is bullshit" etc..

Page rank is a metric which measures the importance of a node in a network. Lots of nodes of high importance linking to node 8847 means that node 8847 has a high page-rank, or node importance. Although it must be conceded that Google has obviously improved upon its ranking algorithm in multiple, vastly complex and advanced ways, I believe that it must still be based on the original skeleton of node importance.

This is because - apart from being open to manipulation - it's a system that really makes sense for a search engine. I just don't feel they'd abandon it as it provides really relevant results.

As a result of this reasoning, I believe that PR is a valuable metric in determining the value of a backlink (but not for determining your rank, there is no relation between PR and rank).

Think about it this way - would you rather have your link on one of the subpages of a site, or on the homepage? Homepage is what most people would say. Do a site: search on any domain and you will most likely find that the homepage has the highest PR. This is not proof of what I've been saying but it provides strong support.

So, if you are able to easily find high PR pages without much additional effort, I would concentrate on those. Relevance is gold and relevant backlinks should be snapped up without regard for PR. As for nofollow, I do not believe it helps unless it's from a really high authority page. But I won't get into that now.

Yep i agree with Miccalef.. In simple PR for a page denotes the popularity of a page. I donna if its true but for simplicity people say the link juice you get from a link back site/blog is calculated as

Back Link Juice: Outbound links of the back link site / Popularity of the Site

In my point of view PR 0 back link is not really worth in the eyes of Google. So what you could do to boost the back link popularity level is use Automated Service Software to the URL your getting link from

Back Link Automated Softwares and Online Tools

Social Bookmarking Tool : Bookmarking Demon, Social Bot, U-Bot, Senuke

Rss Submitter: Submit RSS, BadAss Rss, Senuke

Forum Poster: Xrumer

Article Submitter: Automatic Article Submitter

Ping
: Pingler, Ping-o-matic

I know its time consuming. But also you should know its not about Quantity its always Quality. By doing this

  1. Get your backlinks visible quickly
  2. Some quality links
  3. Linking Sites are sure to have a boost in PR so as your site in greater effect.
NOTE: You could get these softwares for free by roaming and searching on BHW or if your good at Googling. Hope this helps bro.. Good Luck

Buddy, you just continue building Links man.PR concept is useful to some extent. But, that is simply Hyped as your Competitors want you to Fall Behind the Link Building race :D
PR or not, a Backlink is a Backlink ;)

You want to go after quality backlinks that serve value to your website - PR is nonsense just like others have said. To get started to article marketing, directory submissions, social bookmarking, web 2.0 sites, etc and this will get you a couple thousand links...
