what is the best way to get a backlink from .edu sites or there is any hack or shortcut?
I second this. One of my competitors is killing it with nothing but scholar links and some really bad PBNs thrown in. So much for relevancy...Shortcut pay for scholar links!

check fiver and buy edu links
If all you care about is the .edu extension, then go on Fiverr or similar and buy a bunch of spam links. Although they won't do much. Edu links aren't magic.
One thing you might look into are scholarship links (offering a scholarship on a page on your website then asking universities to link back to you). You can get some decent links (frequently from .edu domains) through those and there are some sellers on BHW who can provide you with them as well.
Obligatory
Does domain extension (.com, .org, .de, etc) affect SEO?
At one point in time, links from .edu and .gov domains were hyped as being very valuable. There is a good chance that much or all of this idea was based on a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Correlation_does_not_imply_causation. Domains with .edu and .gov TLDs tend to be high quality pages because there are a lot of hoops to jump through to get either of these TLDs, which means that most of the sites that are able to get them tend to be important or notable websites. They are not magically or inherently valuable.
