If all you care about is the .edu extension, then go on Fiverr or similar and buy a bunch of spam links. Although they won't do much. Edu links aren't magic.
One thing you might look into are scholarship links (offering a scholarship on a page on your website then asking universities to link back to you). You can get some decent links (frequently from .edu domains) through those and there are some sellers on BHW who can provide you with them as well.

There is a good chance that much or all of this idea was based on a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Correlation_does_not_imply_causation. Domains with .edu and .gov TLDs tend to be high quality pages because there are a lot of hoops to jump through to get either of these TLDs, which means that most of the sites that are able to get them tend to be important or notable websites. They are not magically or inherently valuable.

Thanks to you all. I know about buying links and .edu link or comment seller. but I want to do it my self. Rankerx is a good idea to find .edu sites and scholarship for links, .edu blog comment is also good.
