Will backlinks from trusted co.uk websites increase your traffic for uk google? Same question for .de and other country TDLs?

Your website is .com in this example

The language of the page is more important; so in the example of .de, you want your content to be in German; then linking to such a page in German from a .de site should help slightly more than from a .com, especially if the .com is in English; in summary:

1/ best is link from .de in German to your .de in German;
2/ second best is link from .de in German to your .com in German.

As always "it depends"; but if you target #1, it should certainly help; for page 1 only, you probably don't need it.

Thanks for the fast reply, I thought it was like that but wanted to confirm it.

Yes makes a big difference mate.

I have a site which ranks #8 on the US google and #3 on UK.

Amazon affiliate review so searches on both, just my links come from UK sites.

Yes you want to prioritize localization when you to increase your traffic in UK listing or DE listings. Localized backlinks + localized content is a vital combo when you want to increase authority within local community.

Yes, of course, the relevancy and authority will always help you to get good ranking for the sites, so you can follow this strategy for the sites to increase the ranking for your KW's.
