Currently re-branding a business, their current url ranks pretty decently but is super long to type. Example: thisandthatstore.com
Part of my rebranding efforts is a nice wordpress website and streamlining all their social media sites. I managed to snag an abbreviated version. With profile names available across all social media sites.
Example tntstore.com
I set up a new host and started to build tntstore.com with plans to 301 thisandthatstore.com traffic to the new url. While building it I noticed the website started to get a lot of spammy backlinks (1.4k from the same website)
Should I be concerned about the of those backlinks?
should I 301 from the old to the new, or have the new point to the old?
