If you want to check backlinks on your site regularly I find the firefox add-on SEO QUAKE to be very useful. shows you backlinks for each site you visit on the tool bar and also allows you to open various website statistic site pages.

type link: "thedomainnameyouwanttocheck" in google or yahoo and this should do the trick you need to put the www in as well as the quotes

any tools that will help with analyzing competition backlinks. Tools like yahoo and even Google only list few backlinks. Yahoo only list 1000 backlinks.
