hey guy!

im using ahrefs url backlink checker, when i check a specific url to see its backlink i find a lot of backlinks linked to that url, but when i try to visite the website where the backlinks is located i cant find that backlink, instead, i find just a normal article.

?any ideas

Ahrefs tells you when it last saw backlink on the very right. Sometimes it's been months so maybe it was removed.

When checking the page you should always check the source code not just visually scan it, it can be hard to spot.

sometimes i send backlinks to my website and after 24h i find that backlink on ahrefs, so i think its not a matter of time

its an awesome idea, i should try it, but why specifically the source code?could they inject the website with their backlinks, its like hacking or something like that

Everything you see is just a render of a code so that's where you want to check.

check the source code to check for http or www in the text if there exists a link. some sites might be masquerading the hyperlinks on the foresight

If I pay for backlinks can I use ahrefs to check if the links are up, or is there a better tool for that?

Ive heard of that before, are they using white text over a white background to hide the link? Or burying it in an image alt tag?

No. For crowlers bots there is a visible hyperlink. For normal peoples who visit the website, there is no hyperlink, not even in the source code.
