Hi!

I had a good backlink which gave me a nice boost. This took ~5 months to see the results in Google.
Now the problem is that this link unfortunately got removed and I started to fall back.
I took that link back, created a new one, but it changed, it's not the same as it used to be, so Google see it as a new, different backlink (the link itself is the same, but the <div> container around it makes it a different one).

Will I get the same boost again after 5 months with this new link? Do you guys experienced such trouble and then a win?

Hello,

So you only have 1 link to your site?
The div container does not affect your link value by the way.

I have various backlinks to my site, but this link has been removed on 1st March. Since that date my rankings are falling continously.

MOZ see the newly created link as a new link, since they mark the previous (deleted) link as "lost".

I thought Google cares about the surrounding containers and about the exact position of the link, like a sign that something has changed.

it sounds like you are referring to the text surrounding a link, which provides some "context" to the link. If the text around the link has changed, so then the value of the link itself could have changed (slightly). Other than that css layout does not affect link value, or to an infinitesimal degree.
