PBN Links mixed with Web 2.0 links are working right now.
More about quality than quantity.

I do Web 2.0, guest posts on real blogs, PBN links, blog comments, video marketing and social media. Because SEO has changed a lot and you must focus on diversification rather than focusing on single source.

PBNs are beast,but do not build only PBN links,make your link profile natural and diversified. So Google won't put hammer on you. Also make links from Anchor,long tail,brand,genaric and from naked URLs. To make your anchor text profile natural. Web 2.0,Videos,Social bookmarking are great things to build links.
