    I have subscribed to several of the backlink site subscriptions. The ones that give you a list of ******** profiles etc to drop links.

    Well my wife handles all the link submission and account creation tasks for me. I have such a large list now I think she is planning a revolt. Keep getting really evil looks from her. :)

    Is there any reliable software or scripts that can automate these tasks? Create accounts, fill out profile etc... ?

    Maybe you have to code it by your own if you need it for special sites. You should take a look at cURL. Simple and powerfull!

    Sample Code from a tool of mine:
    Code:
        $post = "author=".$author."&email=".$mail."&url=".$linkurl."&comment=".$comment."&submit=post+your+comment&comment_post_ID=".$id;
        $ch = curl_init($commenturl);
        curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_REFERER, "www.google.com");
        curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $post);
        curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1);
        curl_exec($ch);

        if(curl_errno($ch))
        {
            echo 'Curl error: ' . curl_error($ch);
        }
        else
        {
            $output .= "Kein cURL Error";
        };

        curl_close($ch);

    This easy and small code is able to post comments to every wordpress post. Its just an example to show you how easy it is to make ato formfill / submission tools.

    curl looks like it would do the job well. Just read in the page, parse out the form fields and then post the data using curl.

    Now I wonder if there is a way to display the captcha so you can type that in on the fly.

    Yeah, curl works great, the only problem is that most web 2.0 sites have lots of javascript action and it is harder to handle with curl (as oppose to plain vanilla forms)

    For more complex sites I use imacros

    WOW! Imacros looks really good. Just installed the Firefox add-on and playing with it now.

    I may just need to create a macro per site that reads the data from a file. Then all she has to do is click each macro, fill in the captcha and hit the submit button.

    I am running Linux so I can't use roboform. I loved it when I did use Windows.

    Peter Drew's linking loophole automates about 20 sites a month. I find it quite useful. $29 a month.
