I regularly check out the trails of other spammers on backlinkwatch.com. It's an extremely productive way of getting backlinks.

Backlinkwatch shows the site where any inbound link comes from, NoFollow/******** and anchor text.

I have seen a lot of high PR already spammed sites, where the anchor text is the name, not show up any anchor text on backlinkwatch.

My question: Does having no anchor text on backlinkwatch - even though there is anchor text present when you check the site - indicate that the backlink site in question is ineffective?

An Anchor link is an anchor link. If you open page source and see that it has a keyword in the href, then it has one, and Google will notice that. It is probably Backlinkwatch's inability to scan for those.

no backlnkwatch often just dont work as it should. technicly every link has a achor. IF it hasnt the URL itself is the anchor.

heavy spammed sites are often useless for link building.
