Backling question about your blogs

When you create backlinks on forums that create only a profile
with your blog as your site in the profile. Is that enough or
do you need to post in those forums?

Does it matter when you post your profile in different type of
forums such as vbulletin bords or vBSEO type of forums?

If the link is in your profile then you do not have to do anything else to get the backlink. Just make sure that it's a forum that Google can crawl the members list

Also be sure and seo those links in your article directory profiles and posts whereever you can, as an alternative contact and it will ping your profile, giving you more authority within the forum/community and then backlinking to your site even stronger as well. This will get you around the whole issue of google blocking that link and it stopping with no follow directly to your profile page.
