Back button hijack, will my site get penalized by google? & adsesne?

was wondering if I use a back button hijack JS code to redirect users to another page when they click on the back button,
is this detectable by google? will my site get penalized by google? does it affect my rankings?

also, will it affect my Adsense account?

Yes you have a chance to get penalized, happened to me once.
Although as pointed above big news sites do this, so my assumption is if your site has authority big G doesn't care else the bamboo dipped in oil is ready to be served

1. If you use back button hijack on the page with adsense, then yes it will trigger and may ban your account.
2. If you use back button hijack on the page without adsense, then unless someone reports it Google may not take action. but be careful not to OVERUSE it and never use on homepage.
