Good luck with your journey mate! I am testing almost the same strategy as you on one of my websites. Hope we both get good results

Day 1 started yesterday at 6pm UK time (GMT+1). At the end of everyday I will update this thread with everything I have done.

what I have done so far:
found a product (CPA) - fitness niche
calculated expected revenues
found keywords to target

what I'm going to do:
find a good domain and install wordpress on the site.


I like to predict expected revenue so I know if everything will be worth while. If i didn't do this no matter how well the site does I might not get a good ROI. So this is how I calculate it. its based on standard percentages with lower and upper (very conservative) bounds.

based on ranking #1 (achievable for this product)
60% of the searchers click the first result (there was a study done on this)
1-10% click to buy on my site and get redirected to offer
1-10% actually convert on the offer and I get commission

so that all means 0.006 - 0.6% of traffic convert and I get commission from. those percentages might seem low but with the monthly searches and the commission per product it actually isnt that bad.

The offer I have chosen pays out $60.25. so this will equate to $0.003615 - $0.3615 per search (based on the 0.006-0.06% conversion).

Now all I need to do is apply these numbers to the monthly searches of the keywords. The top two keywords give a monthly search of 50,000 (will be more with the other keywords). This will mean $180.75 - $18075.00 per month which is 3 - 300 sales.

quick update, just registered a good 5 character domain which directly relates to the product and its a PR2. I'll go into more detail tonight on the update.

Found product to promote
To do this all I did was log into my account at ?above all offers? and looked at all the offers. My favourite niche is the fitness niche as its something I?m passionate about and know a lot about. There was nothing technical here, all I did was look for a good paying offer (over $50) which wasn?t too competitive. To make sure if it was worthwhile and before going any further I quickly checked the monthly searches for the product name in google. It has over 40,000 monthly searches and so should return a good profit. This led onto finding the keywords

Found keywords
This again isn?t very scientific and really simple. All I did was look at the suggested keywords but stayed focused on those with the product name in. once I have ranked those I?ll start moving onto trying to dominate the more generic keywords.

Checked difficulty
With the difficulty I don?t use any tool in particular like most people might do. All I did was look at the first results and saw youtube viceos, twitter accounts and a lot of websites promoting the offer, just like my site will be. I looked into these sites in more detail with ahrefs to see the links and also used majestic to see the trust flow to she how difficult it will be to beat these sites. From this analysis I am confident I can outrank these sites.

Calculated possible revenue
I do this based on upper and lower bounds of expected click through rates and conversions. These are all conservative. Calculate low targets so you can exceed them and be happy about that instead of expecting more and falling short

Found domain
I could have just registered a brand new domain like [productname]reviews.com but instead I decided to see if I could get a better domain. I went to expireddomains.net and typed in a keyword related to the product. I then shorted by the shortest domain names to the longest and found a nice 5 letter domain. The point of this domain was just to look good and be brandable so it looks more authoritative and maybe increase the CTR in the serps. Luckily the domain has PR2 but these days that doesn?t mean much. The domain was expired so I just bought it from godaddy.

Set up site with wordpress
This was simple, I just pointed my domain to my hosting name servers and used a quick install application to install wordpress on the site. I changed the theme to a simple looking one, which is easy on the eyes and isn?t cluttered.



Now everything is ready to get the content on the site and draw up a proper link building strategy. Tomorrow I will be looking for a writer and/or writing the content on the site myself. It may take a few days to get the content on the site and only once that is done will I be able to start the link building.

All of this I have done today has only taken me a few hours. One thing I?ve noticed is so many people take a lot of time pondering what niche to go into, and taking time trying to pick keywords. Stop procrastinating and just take that jump and go for it. Because you can only make money once you start doing and taking risks.

This update is a few hours early and that?s because I?ve finished all the work I set out to do today and now its time to relax until tomorrow.

I has just dawned on me how busy I am this week. I woke up at 12 today so only have 6 hours left until the update plus I've got other things I need to do today so I've decided to speed things up I will not write the content myself but hire someone else to do it. I have ordered a VPS for running some tools on (mainly GSA SER) and later today I will find a content writer and also get GSA SER and CB set up.

I wrote a little GSA guide 2 years ago (http://pacseo.tk/gsa-guide/) but its been a long time so I imagine a lot has changed so I will write another one sometime during this journey.

Found a good VPS
After looking round here and asking for recommendations I decided to get a VPS from serverhosh, they have a sales thread here. I went for the SEO VPS package 1, which is 4GB of ram with a good processor. As I will only be using it to run GSA SER campaigns the specs are good enough. They also provided weekly GSA lists (over 1 million verified links) which will give anyone a head start.

Installed GSA SER and CB
This was really simple, just download the programs onto my new VPS and enter my license details. Once both installed I set up a practise project and will continue to tweak the settings of the programs until I have found the sweet spot (currently doing 120+ VpM). When I am happy with all the settings I will write in more detail about my set up.

Purchased proxies
I got the proxies from meXela and used the discount I got from having a VPS at serverhosh. I only got 40 semi dedicated (shared) proxies and will see how it goes with them. they should be enough but if not then I'll just order more.



I haven't had time to find a writer like I said I would today but there is no rush. Below are all the expenses and profits so everyone knows exactly how this is progressing.

GSA SER is still running VpM has dropped under 80 and I think the main reason for this is the target sites are being used up. so in the next few days I will scrape more target sites and tweak the settings a bit more.

I have been looking at finding a writer, I have not found one yet but it looks to be about $4 per 100 words for a good quality and good converting writer. I honestly dont want to pay more than $100 for content as most of the budget will go to SEO. $100 will be 2,500 words and right now I'm not sure if I should have more or not. I will do more detailed analysis on the currently ranking sites and try to find a cheaper content writer.

just a few minutes work and I found some good domains with good PR and TF/CF, the PA and DA could be better so I'll continue to look. since I'm trying to keep everything under $100 I'll only be able to get around 10 domains to use for the 301 redirects. tomorrow I will pick the best domains I find and register them to 301 to my site. I will also pick a writer and get all the details sent over. whilst waiting for the content to be finished I will start to backlink to these 301's.
