Hi everyone,

I'm not exactly new here, but I wouldn't call myself a veteran either. I first signed up for this forum back in 2010 when I was in my 20s. At the time, I’d just heard about affiliate marketing from a college senior who was doing really well in internet marketing. Inspired, I dove in headfirst, joined a bunch of forums, and started promoting ClickBank products. I even created a dating product on ClickBank with a friend. Like many beginners, I expected overnight success without fully understanding the affiliate marketing world.

But life had other plans. Between finishing my studies, getting permanent residency in a new country, landing a day job, and fulfilling societal obligations, my focus shifted. I did make a little money here and there from YouTube and other channels, but it wasn’t enough to keep me going at the time.

Fast forward to today: I’m now a family man with a stable career. But deep down, I’ve always regretted not sticking with affiliate marketing. Toward the end of last year, I decided to give it another shot. This time, I’m more determined to stay consistent, learn new strategies, and who knows maybe turn things around in my favor.

I held off on writing this intro until I’d been consistent for a few months. Now, after 3-4 months of active learning and effort, I’m ready to reintroduce myself. Balancing affiliate marketing with family life is no easy feat especially with a 1.5-year-old son who insists I play with him whenever I’m near the laptop. Sleep-deprived or not, I’ve made it a habit to work on affiliate marketing every day, and it feels great to be back.

I’m here to connect, share knowledge, and hopefully build some long-term friendships in this space.

Wishing everyone the best!

Regards,
Venkat

Welcome back, create your own product is the way to go instead of promoting someone else's product.

Hi Venkat, welcome back to BHW!

It’s inspiring to hear about your journey and determination to dive back into affiliate marketing after all these years. Balancing family life with work and your renewed passion for marketing is no small feat—props to you for staying consistent despite the challenges (a 1.5-year-old can definitely keep you on your toes!).

This community is a great place to reconnect, learn, and grow, and I’m sure your experience and dedication will be valuable to others as well. Wishing you all the best on this exciting new chapter—looking forward to seeing your contributions!

Cheers!

Good luck. It sounds like you need to keep at it until you make it. If you are determined and don't give up, you will learn from your mistakes and you'll get where you want to be sooner or later. Just don't give up again before you have succeeded.
