has anyone heard of aws mining some are people are claiming it to be extremely profitable but i doubt that. Can someone tell me if anyone of you has dealt with them.

Not profitable.

The only possible way to profit from this is to mine some coin that you know is gonna blow up. But if you already know this, I think buying it is gonna be much better

Depends on which level you talk about. But for new coins, I hear it`s still profitable.

There are some mining calculators in the web where you can see your profits with each terahash. But mostly it is getting more and more less profitable.

One of the sites I work with was hit by a virus that installed script for mining bitcon - I bet it's profitable, but pointless, as whole cryptocurrency business

There is something like stealing the CPU from the users that visit your website, and they will mine coins for you. But this is not profitable at all.
Infecting whole user and their computer is a different part again.

That wasn't stealing CPU of the site users (never said that) but was using the server to mine.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you're using AWS to mine you can only be CPU mining, so for example monero coin etc.

I can't imagine this is ever going to be profitable. Run a monero mining calculator based on the CPU power from an AWS instance and compare that to the cost of hiring the AWS instance, I expect you will be heavily in the negative.

what if im using $100 credit and want to mine coins just worth about $50 ?

Say what?

You still need to use a mining calculator to see how much you can mine within a certain period of time.

If you're using $100 credit and the coin is worth $50 then you'd need to mine 2 whole coins in the time period that your credit lasts.

AWS has entire buildings filled with ASIC miners you can rent.

No it is not profitable.. I mean come on?

Our company looked into AWS mining in early 2017 and came to the conclusion that we should just spend the money to buy the coins direct. Unless you are stealing the processing power there didnt seem to be much point. If you have servers already up and running like we do; sometimes we use them to mine alt coins during the down time but its just for fun.

you did not get what im trying to say. i will try to explain it much clear now.

I have an aws account and it has 100$ credit. Now i want to know what coins should i mine so that i make atleast 40% of my $100 credit which is atleast 40$ of whatever coins USD worth, overall it seems im getting negative return but in reality its not. Now you get it ?

Lol, yeah, I get it. But i've no idea what coins will be best for you to get at least 40% return. Good luck
