AWeber wants my address

Just signed up at AWeber to start email marketing. They want a physical mailing address, though. Obviously I don't want to use my home address because of privacy/safety concerns, and it probably looks very unprofessional if the address is just "123 Dead Weasel Road, Apartment E" (not my real address, obviously) I called every town in my area looking for the cheapest PO box, but the cheapest one is still 44 bucks a year. I just don't want to pay that much for something that I'm barely ever going to use. I mean, can some experienced email marketers chime in here? How often do you actually get mail to that address you provided? I also considered mail forwarding and digital mail services, but those are all far more expensive than the PO box.

My main question is, is there a cheaper option for me in this situation? Any input would be appreciated.

You'll never get mail to that address, it's required for CAN-SPAM compliance.
 
Don't worry about it. If they need to reach you they will email you they are not going to come to your address.
 
Fake name generator. Look it up. That's what I used, so if anyone wants to mail me they can send it to the sunshine state while I'm chilling in the land of Lincoln.
 
I think that's an issue we all face, I just put an abounded house address.

That's not correct I'm afraid.
While I haven't used aWeber for a while (switched over to GetResponse after aWeber got hacked and their databases stolen the 2nd time), I do remember that they had a problem with the "welcome pack" they sent me to the address I gave them bouncing, after which they wanted me to verify my address.
Not sure if they're still doing it or not but a couple of years ago it was like this.
Btw. take a look at privatebox.co.nz - they're based in New Zealand so you won't get a US address but if an NZ address is good enough for you then you can have a go at them - back when I researched reputable mail forwarding services they had by far the best prices.
 
Have you thought about finding someone to share a virtual or PO with you? Pretty sure aweber verifies addresses now.
 
Getting an invoice at that address, sure. I assumed that was a given.

go on ebay and get a mailing address.
they're pretty cheap about 3.99
 
I would consider using mailchimp instead. I have been using them for awhile and no such issues with an address.
