Avoiding spam with blogs

Hi all,

This is (hopefully) a simple question to answer, but if I setup a Wordpress blog on my hosting account, is there a way to avoid all the junk emails that get posted without me having to login to the admin panel everytime and doing it all manually?

I am a complete noob to blogging hence the question.

 

Try the Akismet plugin.. you have to use API key which is free..
