Avoiding IG limiting / shadowbans

I've recently moved into the world of advertising on socials. So before I go ahead and invest time and money, I really want to understand the ins and outs of it all.

I'm writing this post to help my own understanding of how to move forward.

I'd appreciate any input, please..

My goal is to create IG accounts, post reels and not get limited / shadow banned.

So far my understanding of account flagging is this:
- IG fingerprints all accounts.
- Accounts get flagged for suspicious behavior.
- Depending on frequency or severity of flagging, accounts get limited or outright banned.
- IG seems to tolerate up to 5 accounts per phone. Many people seem to stick to 4 accounts to be on the safe side.
- The more accounts on one IP, the more suspicious.

Overcoming IG fingerprinting:
- Multiple phones may be necessary, with 4 accounts per phone.
- Use physical SIM cards to register a new account on a unique proxy.
- Register 4 accounts on that unique proxy ?
- DIY mobile proxies seem to be the most robust.
- Run phones on a home router, which then routes through the mobile proxy

Things I still need to learn about:
- If app cloning is feasible, how are people bypassing detection of phone fingerprinting, some people claim to be creating multiple instances of IG apps on a single android?
- Is the DIY method linked above still valid?
- How could one make this mobile proxy a USA IP, if they're not in the USA?

I think you can try the cloud phone and I manage many accounts through it. Cloud phone can create multiple virtual instances on a single device, allowing different Instagram accounts to run independently and simultaneously without interference. They also support flexible configuration of IP addresses from various global regions, enabling the simulation of different network profiles to avoid account bans or content restrictions due to geographical limitations.

If you want a real U.S. mobile IP, I think your hardware has to be physically in the U.S. There’s really no way around that. Unless you know someone there who can host it for you, it's probably easier to just rent a mobile proxy. Plenty of people use them for IG and it’s way less hassle to get started.

It's quite a bit of an investment to set everything up yourself (physical phones, mobile proxies, etc). As already alluded to, it could be a good idea to first get anti-detect phones (cloud services) and mobile proxy for US.

Using multiple phones with different SIMs and proxies helps avoid bans. Using US IP from outside can be bit tricky, but choosing the right SIM or VPNs makes it possible.

How many accounts do you plan to run? That is the first question to all of your doubts.

Always double-check if the hashtags you’re using are blacklisted or overused in spammy content. You can test a hashtag by searching for it and seeing if the top posts look legit or if it’s mostly spammy content.

Solid breakdown so far. You’re on the right track. DIY 4G proxies still work well if done right, just gotta keep IP rotation clean. As for cloning IG apps, some use Island/VMOS, but success depends on the phone model and setup. Keep testing and updating, this info helps a lot.

If you plan on running 500+ accounts, then you should look at topics that show how to remove meta data and change hash on the reels you plan on posting. That is vital when it comes to reposting reels.
