avoiding all kinds of viruses

i'm setting up a virtual machine where i'll be installing all the adobe softwares (after effects, premiere pro & photoshop: obviously from turrents) i'll be doing alot of video editing & rendering, since it requires alot of ram (all of my photoshop & editing work will be stored there, so even if there is a trojan it will be contained there, my pc is new and i want to maintain its performance, is this good plan ?

I tell elephant this plan and he laugh because his ram is big like his choo choo and he run photoshop, sony vegas, after effects, xrumer, followliker, hosting, gsa on his personal body and no use external body for this. Because I take elephant to vet each month to not get a virus or a cold and spit the software out of his stomach. He like photoshop, but no like ananominous papal hacker.
 
I do feel that the best way for you to do away with the viruses, then you need to be working with a machine that has ubuntu or linux on it. It is the best operating system when it comes to handling viruses. You will rarely get the attacks as compared to the windows based computers. So I do feel that the best thing for you to do now is look the way forward with Linux

There's several ways to avoid viruses, but all of them? Impossible.

If you're doing this full-time or businesswise, you might as well just buy the software.

what happens in virtual machine, stays on virtual machine, and yes i'm planning to buy spftware once i'm able to afford, i just have priorities.

Not necessarily. Many of the more prevalent worms around these days are self replicating. You get it on one device, and it will have every device on your network owned as well.

Just have a decent scanner, use common sense when downloading, and you should be fine - I've only ever gotten 1 or 2 virus' over 10 years of torrenting.

You're right, even in a virtualized environnment some virus can take control in your physical machine.
For info, by visiting 1 url you can be hacked so i think we are all infected by something if youre paranoid you must use your adobe products on a pc without internet...
 
I have bought norton antivirus 360 .It blocksall viruses and maintains my system performance and increased its speed.Try it once
