Avoid Link Building during Sandbox period?

its an alleged filter that keeps your impressions/rank down for about 6 months. ive launched 100s of sites and can vouch there is something real to it.
i recently had some sites pass the 6 month mark and they all suddenly jumped in rank seemingly overnight too.

just keep it natural. Don't avoid them nor bomb your site with them either.

6 months is a large period. You can start somewhere around 3 months. As already mentioned, try to keep your profile as natural as possible, and try to combine multiple types of links. You can always keep it cleaner, if you just insert a couple PBN links and nothing else, and they may boost better than a to shittier links that most of the time look much more suspicious.
Nowadays many sellers sell cheap PBN links, which are not more better than just a nofollow comment on a blog, so be aware of this when selecting those PBN links in case you choose that pattern.

I had not get any kind of sandbox thing but surely keep some distance at link building !

another section of the patent that resonates with my concerns is
"The dates that links appear can also be used to detect “spam,” where owners of documents or their colleagues create links to their own document for the purpose of boosting the score assigned by a search engine. A typical, “legitimate” document attracts back links slowly. A large spike in the quantity of back links may signal a topical phenomenon (e.g., the CDC web site may develop many links quickly after an outbreak, such as SARS), or signal attempts to spam a search engine (to obtain a higher ranking and, thus, better placement in search results) by exchanging links, purchasing links, or gaining links from documents without editorial discretion on making links."
i notice many sites that are successful dont build out their initial links until atleast 3-6 months.
it may be possible backlinks build in the "legitimate window" of google's eyes are also weighed more heavily and/or not devalued.

your sandbox is probably gonna last a year, or you will exit a kind of mini sandbox around 6 months and experience a massive one about after a year. With this in mind yes I would avoid focusing on backlinks in the first 6 months just because I feel your focus should be solely on keyword research and creating quality and content as well as social media but nothing really else until after 6 months

A lot of evidence, yes. It's not that they are sitewide, but that it doesn't look natural. Google is looking at natural patterns of development. that some links will not result in a spidering and it was probably because of the authority factor. Many of the search engines are also looking at the authoritativeness of the link pointing to you.

Experiencing the same here. Shared some screenshots of these sandbox before...and I got hundreds of websites myself. There is definitely something to it and this kind of "shadow ban" also happens on other platforms like Google Play, YouTube, etc.
From my experience, what helps are: Social signals, external traffic (through social media, YT videos or even ads) and high DA backlinks.
You can get rid of this sandbox by increasing the authority of your website. How do you increase the authority? For example by what I just mentioned above.
