In addition to the list, please be vigilant. The Internet is almost unregulated, so don't expect to be able to dial a quick "911 emergency". If you think the Internet being unregulated is a bad thing, Internet marketing is worse: there a lot of nice folks on here and beyond, but that doesn't mean there are not those who are hell-bent on making your life miserable. As a recapitulation, be vigilant, use your common sense. BHW is an helpful community--send PMs, report, and engage a discussion if you smell something fishy.Prutill

I think it's important to remind people that just because someone has a high post count or senior status, such as Jr VIP, doesn't mean they are trustworthy. They might have more to lose, but anyone can scam.

And this is found to be true in every aspect of life. Never let someone's rank, status, or position blind you from seeing who they really are or blind you from using logical and critical thinking. A lot of people with rank, status, and position, use their authority solely for the purposes of lying and scamming.
