Avg. session duration time for landing page

Hi everyone,

Can anyone please tell me how avg. session duration of any landing page calculated.

In my case for home page,

In site content section, time on page is 2 min but when I am checking in landing page section, the average session duration time is 5 mins.

Why there is so much difference ?

Average = total time of all sessions divided by number of sessions

Separate times of landing pages will be different. From 1 second to hours even.

Those 5 min is probably for homepage alone.

Also, it's good to mention what software you are using.
