AVG price for SEO service

I see all Kinds of companies on the web that charge anywhere form 99 bucks up to 4K for SEO.

On avg what should a company be charging for SEO service to get 3 keywords on the first page of google.

In the past I have charges 400 then I moved it up to 1000. Now I am thinking that I might still be under charging for the service.

I wanted to get some feed back on here and see what everyone else is charging.

I have looked into out sourcing some services and I have tried it on 3 different sites. So for I have not seen the results I would like to see.

hey... of course (at least to a degree) it will depend on the niche. I get $2,500 a month for a financial site, it's good money, but it takes a lot of links to keep that site competitive. As for outsourcing, "yes I do"... I use Filipinos.

on these sites that you charge 2500 a month for. Do you have them do up a contract for your services? My main customer has been small companies but I just took on this week a new customer that is a multi Million dollar company. I did the seo for the CEO brothers site the first part of the year and his brother cant stop saying good things. So I guess that is good.

In the past I have not done contracts but getting into these bigger deals I am thinking this might be a good idea.
