Hi,

What's the average follow back ratio on Twitter for new accounts?

I have followed 57 people and only 2 followed back in 6 or 7 hours

1) Is this normal?
2) How long should I wait before unfollowing the unfollowers?
3) What to do to increase the follow back ratio?

Thanks!

There's no average. You need to give people a reason to want to follow you back.

i gained 170k followers across 20 accounts in just 2.5 months (in 2015) manually via crowdfire app

the key for success was

1. right targeting - for example i have Street art - i target followers of other graffiti accounts.
pets/cats - target pets/cats accounts followers.
2. decent content - for each of my accs i uploaded 15-20 absolutely cool tweets with great relevant pics and funny text.
3. very legit look of your Twitter account's name: short and looking trustable- for example - for pets i made something like just Pets/@_pets

in some days i was getting 350 people a day from 900 follows for 1 account

It is difficult to say an average ratio, it depends of a lot of things but in general I would say that 20%. Why I say 20%?
Well, I have created several accounts from different topics: gaming, tv, films, fitness... and that is moreless the follow bacl that I got.
But... it is not the average ratio always. When your account grows and you publish more content and get more followers, usually your ratio grows.
It is just what I have seen, maybe others can give a better explanation/opinion!

My average is and has always been 80 per 1000 followed. On individual days it can be more or less but for me it evens out to approx 80 new followers for every 1000 I follow.

So did you kept following people?

Did you not unfollow them after a certain period of time if they don't follow you?

No problem, if these 2 are real user, not intented to earn something from twitter.

I have 25% follow back ratio but most are predators. No use at all

If you are not tweeting then ratio will be 10% and if you are tweeting and follow back your following then it will be up to 50%

It all depends on who you target! You need to make changes when changes are due.

Yes I'm noticing that since I have been doing quality, manual tweets my follow back is nearly 50%.

Make a massive difference.
It's a good reminder for me to post more tweets. I start to forget to keep things fresh and active with tweets.
