    Hey Guys,

Does anyone know what the average sales conversation rate is on clickbank products when direct linking.

I know it all depends on the product and offer but just want to get an idea on what the average conversation would be for products with 50+ gravity?

I know that 1% is average but was wondering if this is for direct linking using PPC?

The reason I ask is because I currently have my own info product (not in IM niche). I am testing the sales page by direct linking to it using PPC. I have currently got a 0.5% sales rate but looking to improve this before putting it on clickbank marketplace.

I heard that doing a pre-sales page will improve conversations but before I do this I want to find out what sales percentage I should be aiming for when direct linking.

By the way my products price is $37 - if this helps.

    Hope someone can help.

It really depends on the product... I used to do direct linking using ppc along time ago when adsense would allow it. Some products would convert as high as 4-5% and some would take 500+ uniques to make one sale. I know this isn't a lot of help but like I said it varies tremendously depending on product.

If you are marketing it all on your own then your conversions will be much less which is why you need the affiliates! BTW, can you PM me your product details?

Depends on way too many things: audience, niche, price, pitch, site, product, product description, product name, graphics, placement of calls to action, calls to action themselves, etc.

What I suggest is to inquire into the mode response rate for the specific niche you're considering.

FYI: "Mode" is basically the most common one. It's not necessarily the average, though, since sites with terrible results or amazing results will skew the data you're wanting.

If you look for the mode, you should find something of value.

Everyone is going to tell you that "it depends" which is true, but if you want some basic numbers, it can range from infinitely low (horrible sales page, too many hoops to jump through to reach order page, etc.), to as high as 8%. I've never seen anything above 8% on an offer above $30. (Unless you're talking about a site with multiple filtering systems which would lead to extremely targeted traffic, etc.)

I'd guess that most selling products are operating within the 0.1% to 2% range. Based on what I know from being an affiliate, a pre-sell might be able to boost you into the 1.5% to 2% range. :)

Thanks guys for all your advice - really appreciate it, Been getting my head down and trying to improve my conversions.

I've modeled my product on the best product in my niche already with regards to price but then I've added some bonuses on top of it to make it look like a better deal. (the top product doesn't offer any bonuses).

I'm testing a pre-sales page now to see what conversions I can get doing it that way.

I reckon from what you guys are saying when I get it converting at around a 1% I start putting it on the affiliate networks.

I've been using Google's website optimizer tool on my site. Converting cold traffic at around 5% overall with my top performing variation at 15.2% -- since I used a number of variable elements, the test still needs a ton of additional traffic to reach statistical significance.

I'm pretty sure I'm converting much better than average, however.
