People bump them quite a lot and most of the time they serve no value. E.g. like this one:

Can BHW automatically close threads that had no replies for, x years ( let's say, 5 yrs)? That will make sure that those posts are still indexed in the search engines but nobody will be able to bump them except for the admins/mods.
