"Automate this! Outsource that!".....yeah right

Yea... I have to disagree too... my income started growing exponentially once I started outsourcing. You are right though, some things are very difficult to outsource, but some things are a no brainer. I rarely outsource my website content, but sometimes I do if I find someone who does a great job. And sometimes even a mediocre job is ok depending on what I'm using it for on my site. And for backlink content I almost always use semi-crappy content. I pay for about 70% of my backlinking now while I spend my time writing content for (or touching up some outsourced content) my site that converts. When I am really being aggresisve I will fire up a couple of bots on my in-house dedi (automation) pay a couple of fiverr's AND write content all at the same time...

Notice how I keep saying I write the content myself? hehe, that is one of the ones that is the hardest to find, but I have found a few and before I can hire them full time someone else grabs them up.

Oh, and just a side note, I have found that the crappiest broken english content works best on MFA sites... I have tried it with both GOOD CONTENT and CRAPPY CONTENT and my CTR is higher with the crappy content! I think people go "WTF IS THIS!" and they are looking for the fastest exit point, and if you place your adsense in the right place they cant help but roll their mouse past it in order to hit that back button, but hopefully they spot a relevant well written ad and it is so refreshing compared to your crappy site content they HAVE to click on it... haha, at least thats my theory:)

I've recently started looking for some freelancers to outsource small projects to locally and online. I can understand some of the frustration involved in the process. There are many people that appear eager and capable of producing quality work but when it's time to deliver they fall short of expectations. Sometimes they completely drop off the radar then pop up at the last minute with excuses.

But after all of the trial and error, you can find the diamond in the rough. It's not something that you will always get on the first try. After that you can build a good relationship with them and focus on the more important stuff.

Some things are always better to automate -

Link building (outsource)
design (even if you're designer-outsource as time is money)
code(if it takes more than 10-25 hours of work, outsource)
content (unless you've personal niche blog)

The more you waste time in any one of the above, the more you'll waste money. I've coding background (and design in hobby), i prefer to outsource content because my content runs short on grammar/typo. Improving myself is better way for long term but to get sites running smoothly,it's better to outsource that part.

I think users past experience is not good with a lot of people whom he outsource his work. Due to that he cames to this conclusion. But all people are not bad, there are some people who provides good service. As in bhw service thread a lot of people providing service, some are good and some are excellent and also some are scammers.

I really think that its a question of what you value your time at. Personally my time is billed between $250 and $450/hr depending on what I'm doing. I feel that I'm pretty effective at what I do and on average can get something done about 5 times faster than an outsourcer or freelancer.

That being said, I pay freelancers on average $350/mo which means if they can do what what I can do in two hours inside a month, then I'm actually ahead - I would generally expect them to produce a minimum of 20 hours worth of my work/mo ie. a ratio of 1:8. This can be significantly improved when you compartmentalize components of your business. Developing specialists is where the real gains are made, your employees will eventually become more efficient at their specific task than you are, and thats the real point you will begin generating $$$.

What a stupid thread. P rops to autumn for shutting it down lol

On every post that involves either a method, success story, or even sometimes a question there is always some douchebag 2 or 3 posts down spouting off "Now automate it!" or "go ahead and outsource it!" like its easy as pushing a button....

you know what?

making money online is fucking EASY next to automating and outsourcing succesfully.

I'm not kidding.

go try to make at least a $1 online. no problem.

go try to find at least 1 reliable affordable person. problem.

LOL

I bet you anyone here will be able to succesfully make money online BEFORE they can ever find reliable people to outsource shit to.

While your writing your articles making money your have 10 other articles being written by some guy whose going to do a shit job because he charges so little (non native English speaker most likely) or a guy who does a great job but charges too much and thus killing your ROI.

Making money online is 10X times easier than automating or outsourcing anything.

Why did all my twitter accounts get banned?

because you tried to automate it with some bot shit.

But I used PROXIES!

WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU NEED PROXIES UNLESS YOUR DOING SOMETHING YOUR NOT SUPPOSED TO???

You mean to tell me when admins see your IP adress hidden that wont set off a red flag???

WHAT OTHER PURPOSE ARE PROXIES FOR BESIDES TRYING TO MANIPULATE AND EXPLOIT A SITE SOMEHOW? LMFAO!

Why did I get a dupe content strike?

You mean to tell me that filipino who sold you 25 "Original" articles at .50 cents each robbed you??? NO!

You know who automates and outsources?

million dollar companies.

you know why?

because they have millions of dollars.

in short: SIT DOWN. FOCUS. AND DO THE FUCKING WORK YOURSELF YOU LAZY SONOFABITCH.

You said it man! Some automation is helpful but it essentially gets down to good old-fashioned hard work and many hours a day staring into a few monitors. Use ergonomic keyboards to avoid carpal tunnel syndrome.

I think you and OP should work on a project together. OP can handle the labor and you can monitor that everyone is ergonomically correct.

Good luck with back, vision, weight, and other health problems...

until you learn how to work healthy is only when you get rich

Outsourcing and automation are skills to be learned.

Of course they are a pain in the ass short term but for big growth they are necessary.

And those big companies you speak of, with millions of dollars never outsourced at the beginning.

But think about it, the biggest online companies are all driven by user generated content (YouTube, torrent sites, flickr, wordpress and blogger), which is a very savvy type of outsourcing.

My point is, if you have a site then let people upload stuff to your site and if you have a blog then encourage guest blogging etc etc etc.

never outsource, always automate.

automation = 0 delay / 0 cost
outsourcing = lots of delay / lots of costs + a lot of people do very bad jobs, the good outsourcing companies are like 1%

The last sentence is probably the most important in the whole post, so I'd just like to add on to it. Outsourcing doesn't have to mean paying someone in the middle of nowhere to make an amazing article that makes you cheer like a girl at a Justin Bieber concert. It just means letting other people do work that you don't need to do yourself.

Letting someone run the cash register while the manager is busy unloading the delivery truck in the stock room is outsourcing. The manager can't run the stock room and the register at the same time without being 100% ineffective in one of those. So you bring another person into the equation and now the manager can dedicate 100% of his or her time into running the stock room.

A forum is a form of outsourcing. You could build the content yourself, and in most cases, you probably will initially. However, like mentioned in many replies, once the system is developed, outsource it. You've got your niche and content down, so outsource it. That's when people start joining your forum and contributing posts (content). Your workload goes down while your productivity multiplies with each new member.

Again, read The 4-Hour Work Week, please.

You've learned to express your emotions in a vivid manner. I suggest outsourcing it now.

No but really.
Clearly someone has never read The 4-Hour Work Week.
I'm declaring this a new, mandatory, must-read before joining BHW.
From now on.

Seriously that book is one of my favorite so far.

And why are they so successful? Because they are obviously great at automating, streamlining, and outsourcing.

I do actually agree with your post to an extent. If you aren't good enough to make money online the old fashioned way, then automation cannot help lack of knowledge. Once you completely grasp your area of industry and become an expert, that is when you automate and outsource, the goal is to streamline as much as possible for the lowest possible amount.

As you become more successful, your time is worth more. At some point your time is better spent planning, developing, and managing rather than doing the leg work, effectively morphing your one man job into that million dollar company.

Do keyword research on your own and outsource everything else. this is what gives the best ROI on both time and money.

I have a (blackhat) method that i use successful for about 6 years now.
When i would be able to scale it up i would make millions with it.
But it's simply not possible.

Scaling up still applies, never be content and always be hungry. Just because you've reached max potential with this project does not mean you cannot reinvest that revenue into new ventures. When someone tells you to scale up, they're simply encouraging you to not settle.

This post truly shows that you seriously dont think outside the box, smart people use ISP ips for the most complicated and hardest task to avoid detection you in the other hand are still using proxies. Learn better ways to automate and stay under the radar before you make a conclusion from your very narrow view of Internet Marketing. You still havent grasp the whole concept of using systems when doing Internet Marketing. You must learn some advanced stuff before posting some very not true post. Good luck next time.

Well it looks like I have "mixed reviews" about my post. I guess some of you are lucky to have found reliable people as I deffinetly have not.

Maybe I was a bit harsh to blast automation and outsourcing but it might be considered a skill in and of itself.

anyway good luck to those of you working on expanding your business through automation and outsourcing and a well desereved pat on the back to those of you who managed to be lucky enough to make it work for you.
