autobogging question?

sorry for being so noob. i've been searching this forum for a while and all i can say is, bhw ROCKS!

anyway, i have a few questions in mind...

1. im planning to make a few autoblogs and im just wondering if any of you guys use the onlywire autoposter? what's your experience with that plugin?

2. if i will be posting 5-8 posts per day, is there a chance to get banned in the social bookmarking sites (included in onlywire autoposter)? i mean, that's a lot of bookmarks right?

3. what's your best tip regarding autoblogs?

Onlywire is good for me, 5-8 shouldn't get you in trouble, and so far i've learned to not underestimate the importance of a good domain name and niche...

how do you post rss posts from google alerts?

i tried it with wp robot but it just posted a quick definition and a link to the original source.

Nah man you aren't that far behind me, my autoblogging journey is just beginning as well...I post about 5 to 8, yea...Someone else will have to answer the RSS question, as I haven't really messed with it yet on WP Robot...I use the RSS Web Traffic Genius Pro plugin to build backlinks with RSS...

are you getting traffic from the bookmarks?

When I started learning how to promote my sites 4-5 years ago, one of the first backlinking strategies I learned was bookmarking.

I picked up Auto Social Poster and Book Marking Demon and used them.

I did a typical newbie mistake and overdid everything, I was bookmarking everything, including my whitehat sites constantly- hundreds of times. I was making several hundred to a few thousand a month in income and I was on top of the world.

But, it did not last long - As a result Google de-indexed all my sites after a few months - and that lovely income went away.

It took me quite a while to figure out what I did wrong. And even longer to figure out how to correct all my mistakes. I didn't even know what I was doing was considered 'blackhat'.

So, now I bookmark cautiously - no more than 10 or so to my whitehat or money sites. I save the all out efforts for sites that are linking to those.

I have found that one bookmark can get my site indexed! I vary them and use only the top rated ones like Digg or Mixx. There are plenty of lists here of what people use - just search for them.

But what I do now is when I personally post, I bookmark it to 1-5 sites. I have the onlywire automated plugin, but it doesn't seem to be working right now, and I'd set it up to only post to a few sites as well.

I no longer use the ASP, as I haven't figured out how to use it judiciously.
But I use BMD weekly. I love it, it has tutorials on how to bookmark for whitehat, blackhat and in between, plus you can set it up so you don't over bookmark a site.

Now as for your original question - when I check for backlinks, the top rated social bookmarking sites are the backlinks I see, and seem to stick for a long time. But they go away eventually, so now I vary my backlinking to include other strategies.

Oh, I forgot...
Check your AWstats - it's in your cpanel and it will tell you where your traffic is coming from.
If you have Google Analytics installed on your blog, you'll get a quick indication of recent traffic as well.
I do get traffic from bookmarks, that's why most people keep bookmarking their websites.
